Halberstädter has been established for 130 years and uses only the best meats from selected suppliers. Carefully trained staff combine traditional craftsmanship with modern production methods. Using a unique patented European process in which Halberstädter sausages are smoked in a chimney above open fire, then matured for 24-36 hours gives the sausages a marvellous aromatic flavour and unique wholesomeness that the founder and inventor of canned sausage, Friedrich Heine, was very proud.
These sausages are the top of the range with a gentle smoked flavour, sooo good with dumplings or mashed potatoes and Sauerkraut!
