Fruity and chocolaty, simply delicious: The Dr. Oetker Kirschli Cake – baking mix for a sponge filled with cherries and fine chocolate flakes.
Ingredients: WHEAT FLOUR, sugar, 13% chocolate flakes coated (sugar, cocoa mass, low–fat cocoa powder, emulsifier (lecithins)), starch (WHEAT), raising agents (diphosphates, sodium carbonates), flavoring, baking mix may contain: (EGG, SOY, MILK), chocolate flakes may contain: (WHEAT, SOY, MILK, HAZELNUTS).
Allergy Information: Milk, nuts, wheat, cereals containing gluten, eggs, hazelnuts
You will need: 1 jar of sour cherries (drained weight 350g), 175g soft margarine or butter, 3 eggs (size M)
Preparation:
- Prepare grease springform pan base. Preheat the oven. Top/bottom heat: about 170°C Hot air: about 150°C
- Drain the sour cherries well
- Place the baking mixture in a mixing bowl. Add the margarine or butter and eggs, mix with a mixer on high speed for 3 mins to form a smooth batter. Then add chocolate flakes and stir in briefly.
- Pour the mixture into the tin and smooth it out, spread the sour cherries on top, leaving about 1 cm free at the edges.
- Place in oven and bake approx. 60 mins.
- Remove the springform pan edge and cake from the base, but leave to cool on a wire rack with the springform pan base.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar to taste before serving.
