A juicy temptation of Dr. Oetker: Through the addition of  quark and yoghurt, the cake tastes deliciously juicy, fresh and loose. A golden brown pleasure which can not be missed on any coffee table! Alternatively cream cheese and cream can be used to replace the quark if it is not available.

package net weight: 570g

Ingredients:
        Ingredients: Sugar, wheat flour, wheat starch, baking powder (raising agent and sodium bicarbonate), coloring (carotene, riboflavin), flavoring vanilla.

Preparation:
Required ingredients –250g of soft butter (or 100g of margarine and 150g of butter), 4 eggs (size M), 500g of quark , 300g of yoghurt. Or instead of quark you could try 250g cream cheese and 300ml thickened cream.

1. Preheat oven. Upper / lower heat: about 180 ° C. air-forced: about 160 ° C. Grease the cast.Put the dough mixture into a mixing bowl. Add 100g of cold butter or margarine and 1 egg. Mix everything with a blender (stirring bar) at the lowest level to form crumbs. Spread 2/3 of the sprinkles on the bottom of the mold with the aid of a tablespoon and press them to a get a firm bottom. Form remaining dough into a smooth roll on a lightly floured surface. Place the dough roll on the edge of the dough and press on the cast to create a 2cm high edge
2. Melt 150g butter, set aside to cool.
Place the mixture in a mixing bowl. Add 3 eggs, quark and yoghurt. Mix everything with the mixer (stirring bars) to the lowest level to form a smooth mass. Mix the butter slowly. Put the mixture into the cast and smooth.
(If using alternative to quark,  mix the cream cheese until smooth, then slowly add the cream and yoghurt until mixture is well combined, add eggs one at a time. Then mix in the butter.)
3. Put the pan  in the oven. Insertion: lower third. Baking time: about 55 minutes. Let the cake cool in the pan on a cake rack. Only then remove cake with the help of a knife from the cast.
Alternative step 2.
Quark is available at select supermarkets in Australia, however if not available where you are, I have found this other methods works very well. Use 250g cream cheese and 250g of yoghurt to replace the quark.
2. Melt butter, set aside to cool.
Soften 250g of cream cheese, then beat with 300g plain yoghurt until smooth and there are no lumps of  cream cheese. Add the mix provided for the centre of the cake and another 250g of yoghurt, mix gently until combined and then add the 3 eggs and combine.  Drizzle in the melted butter and slowly mix in. Pour the mix on the prepared base.
